MASLIS Student / Dance Archivist / Student Reference Librarian
Vancouver, BC
I am a third year MASLIS (MAS / MLIS) student doing a First Nations Concentration (FNCC) at the University of British Columbia's iSchool in Vancouver. I currently work as:
- A dance archivist at Karen Jamieson Dance, a small contemporary dance organization;
- The creative director of Coming Out of Chaos: A Vancouver Dance Story (supported by Karen Jamieson Dance);
- A student reference librarian at UBC's Music, Art, and Architecture (MAA) Library; and
- The project coordinator of Recollective: Vancouver Independent Archives Week (archivesweek.ca).

My work as an interdisciplinary artist, curator/programmer, writer, and arts administrator informs my work as an archivist and librarian. I entered the world of archives through working in various artist-run centres (galleries), community archives, and DIY spaces. I hold a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art & Design with a major in Critical + Cultural Practices and a Minor in Curatorial Studies.

I am grateful to be attending my first in-person ARLIS/NA conference thanks to the support of the ARLIS/NA Pacific Northwest chapter and the UBC iSchool.

Fun facts about me: I collect pottery, I have a background in community radio/podcasting, and I've folded 500 dumplings with my roommate over the past month!
